What does your mythic character look like?

Embracing Your Inner Hero: Unveiling the Mythic You
Ever caught yourself daydreaming about embarking on an epic quest, battling mythical creatures, and saving the day? Yeah, me too. Imagine being the protagonist of your own larger-than-life adventure, wielding the light of hope and courage. That idealized hero, the one who defies the odds and conquers the unknown, can actually be you.
Take, for instance, “The Sentinel.” It's not just a painting; it's a revelation of the mythic character within all of us. Standing at the crossroads of the familiar and the fantastical, this light bearer becomes the embodiment of our aspirations and fears, our triumphs and tribulations.
It’s funny how inspiration strikes, right? The model for “The Sentinel” was just a regular dude I bumped into at the gym. And let's be real, it may have been a tad awkward to go from spotting each other during workouts to him striking mythic poses for my painting. But hey, embracing the unconventional is where the magic happens.
The big question is this: Why settle for being a mere player in someone else’s narrative when you can craft your own? Picture your symbolic muse—the one that roots you to your own legendary escapade. Maybe it’s a valiant warrior, a cunning trickster, or a wise oracle. Whatever it is, this mythical persona is your ticket to soulful exploration.
So, next time you catch yourself daydreaming, I urge you to envision the mythic character within. What could this become as a narrative artwork hanging on your wall, serving as a reminder of what you are becoming in your great adventure.

What is your memorable moment?

Experience Your Life's Pinnacle Captured in Art!
Last year I ventured out into the majestic mountains of Colorado for two weeks, slept under the stars and foolishly decided to fast while doing it. What the hell was I thinking!?!? I was looking for answers about my own mortality, about life and birth. I was sneaking up on a surprise that would become my painting, Threshold.
This painting is a reminder that when we confront our own mortality and the darkness that can overwhelm us, we have the power to bring light and beauty to those difficult moments and change how we relate to the darkness. I wanted to create a beautiful invitation to cross into those unknown places, a threshold that is welcoming rather than warning.
